Carol of the Passion for unaccompanied SSAATB choir

A setting of a 15th century Easter carol recounting Mary’s hurrying to the Cross to witness Christ’s crucifixion.  Suitable for Good Friday, Holy Week, or the Easter season more widely.

First performed by the choir of Selwyn College, Cambridge, directed by Sarah MacDonald, March 2020, a recording of that choir performing the work at JAM’s ‘Music of our Time’ concert in 2021, conducted by Michael Bawtree, can be found on Soundcloud.
